B. New Business

   1.   Materials and Equiptment Acceptance (M.E.A.) Division to provide list of products (i.e., interlocks, buffers and doors) approved since the 1998 published index without reference to B.S.A. approval.

   2.   "Designated Operator" discussion held over pending Hubert Hayes' submittal.

   3.   Escalator inspections - "No access procedure".
      a.   DOB inspector will issue a 10 Day Notice for reinpection scheduling if no other violating conditions are observed as a result of the physical exterior stair inspection.
      b.   If other violation conditions are observed, a violation will be issued including the "No Access" violation condition.

   4.   Escalator deflector brushes, starting devices, and comb plate switches - Held over for Tom Donovan to resubmit documentation to DOB for review.

   5..   Temporart and Final Certificates
      a.   Temporary certificates may be requested for multi-car modernization groups where, for example, the applicant submits sufficient proof to the Deputy Chief Inspector that all permanent equiptment and/or locations cannot be attained for final acceptance certificate.
      b.   Last car in group must be final certificate with B73 issued after all permanent work is 100% complete.

   6.   Requests for PVT violation dismissal - DOB indicated that response time should be within thirty (30) days.  New computerized system beingimplemented.

   7.   R.S.-18 Elevator Code Draft Status - DOB indicated status unknown.

   8.   Elevator Inspectors License - DOB advised that NEW filings suspended for new applications until early Spring 2001 - Status on renewals not reported.

   9.   "Cease Use" reinspections during non-business hours and holidays - DOB issued emergency number - 212-312-8298, but cautioned that requests during all other times, including Saturdays before 4:30 p.m., must be done through applicable Cheif.
      a.   DOB to issue a new Chief listing with phone numbers.

With no further business, the meeting was adjourned.  The next meeting will be on January 17th, 2001 at 10 A.M. in the 14th Floor Conference Room of 60 Hudson Street.
