Design Specifications

Hubert H. Hayes, Inc. Elevator Consultants can prepare detailed specifications for all modernization and new installation projects. Specifications can be used to obtain competitive bids for elevator and escalator projects. We specialize in residential, commercial and industrial applications.

Third Party Witness

We can provide the third party witness for NYC required Category 1 and Category 5 tests. We handle all paperwork and Department of Buildings filing. Flat rate pricing for all tests.

Insurance Claim Adjusting

Hubert H. Hayes, Inc. works with insurance companies to adjust elevator related claims. Whether water, fire or collision damage, we operate as a third party in estimating damage and determining cause and origin.

Maintenance Evaluations

We conduct a thorough survey of your elevator system, examining each component from the machinery room to the pit. We evaluate the quality of the maintenance and recommend repairs and upgrades if necessary. Survey reports include budgets for all recommended work. We serve as a vital link between you and your maintenance company. We pride ourselves on being an unbiased third party dedicated to safety and integrity in the industry. As such, we do not sell, service or repair elevators and escalators. We can evaluate your equipment and determine if it is in safe operating condition. We can tell you if your elevator should be repaired or modernized and how much it should cost. We can also help you make the most of your elevator maintenance contract and explain all the "fine print".

Required Governmental Inspections

All of Hubert H. Hayes’ field staff are licensed as elevator inspectors and hold QEI certifications, which are accepted throughout the United States. We can perform any government required inspection.

Risk Assessment

Hubert H. Hayes, Inc. can provide elevator and escalator risk assessment surveys for insurance companies. Elevators and escalators are evaluated for code compliance and safety.

Service Contract Review

Hubert H. Hayes, Inc. Elevator Consultants will review your elevator service contract to determine whether you are getting your money's worth. Not all contracts are the same and often elevator contractors leave out important services.

Periodic Elevator Inspection

Hubert H. Hayes, Inc. can provide the new Dept. of Buildings mandated periodic elevator inspection (effective January 1, 2022). We will inspect the elevator (s) and provide all necessary paperwork to the Dept. of Buildings, owner/ building management and elevator company.

Affirmation of Correction (AOC) Tracking

Hubert H. Hayes, Inc. is offering Affirmation of Correction (AOC) Tracking services to help keep on top of the elevator maintenance company in filing the Affirmations of Corrections in a timely manner. This service is for any unsatisfactory Category 1 Testing or Periodic Inspection reports that will require the filing of an Affirmation of Correction. With this service we will be in regular contact with your elevator maintenance company to make sure the AOC is filed within a timely manner. NYC Final Acceptance Test

Due to recent changes in the NYC Department of Buildings’ policy, a licensed third-party elevator inspector not affiliated with your elevator service company may sign off on an elevator modernization or elevator installation. Hubert H. Hayes, Inc. can provide this service for any elevator modernization, new installation or conversions. The final inspection sign off will require the services of your elevator service company, which will have to be coordinated with the third-party inspector. The final sign off will have to be filed with the NYC Department of Buildings. Please contact our office for pricing on this specific service.
